Racing Daydreams - Toto Wolff press conference

What a week for our sport.

What does the future hold for Formula One?

The title of this piece is no coincidence. It is a hat-tip to classic ‘Motor Sport’ magazine, for I have spent much time wondering what Jenks would have made of it all… of this mess.

Anyone with an interest will have seen & heard that AMG-Mercedes Petronas F1 have broken their silence today. Many of you will have seen extracts of a press conference that Toto Wolff held with the specialist press. Personally I found it fascinating, passionate… and emotional.

Racing Daydreams, in association with our friends at Race Day Replay, are pleased to present the entire 56-minute press conference – in English & German.

Illuminating today – historically important tomorrow… whatever the future holds for the Grand Prix formula, and its current guardians.

This video is courtesy of, and remains the property of, AMG-Mercedes Petronas F1. We thank them.

Be sure to subscribe to Race Day Replay to revisit classic Formula One, and more.

Think about what motorsport has given me, and those no longer with us. The day after the 2022 Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, Monday 25 April, will […]

Director Sailer, who was in great form at the Mercedes dinner, made a most amusing speech concerning his early motor-racing career, and ended up by saying, “Some people think that motor-racing is no longer interesting, because Mercedes-Benz always win – we cannot help this, as we have been winning races for forty years, and do […]
